About Hope Quilters

Hope Quilters is a small group within Lutheran Church of Hope and organized in 1999 to make a quilt for the 2000 Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp quilt auction. The first members of Hope Quilters were: Patty Barrett, Connie Doern, Jean DeHaai, Linda Hungerford, Kristine Peterson and Carol Wilson.

The group, now at 30-plus members, continues to grow. Each year we make a quilt for the Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp annual August quilt auction, tote bags for members of Lutheran Church of Hope diagnosed with breast cancer, and teach new quilters more about quiltmaking. We also offer weekly hand-quilting around a quilt frame!

All quilters—particularly those who have participated in a Stitchin' Mission (See link at right for more information)--are invited to join us as we meet regularly to pray, have a devotional time, share our love of quilting with one another, and offer our gifts in service to others.
